Chuck Norris Widget Tutorial
By Natan Yellin on Feb 11, 2007 in Chuck Norris
Is anyone interested in a tutorial on how to make widgets? I’m thinking of writing one, but I’m not going to write it if no one is interested.
In the tutorial I’ll show you how I made my Chuck Norris widget, and how you can make your own widget. You’ll learn basic html and javascript. Don’t worry if you have no idea what html or javascript is because I’ll try to make the tutorial as geekless as possible, so even a complete beginner can understand it. If you’re interested in the tutorial tell me in the comments at the bottom of this page.

Hi, I use your chuck norris widget and it’s awsome!, it is the best widget I have, and I am interested in your tutorial about widgets, I always wanted to make one but I don’t no how. So it would be nice if you could make it.

I love the Chuck Norris Widget and would enjoy seeing how you made it. I’ve been thinking of making my own similar to what you have I just don’t know enough, and don’t have the time to learn that much. It would be cool to see and much appreciated.

I would love this! It would be fantastically useful for me, as I’m currently struggling with JavaScript.

Sure! I don’t really understand either, and if this would be an introduction to both, I would totally be interested. Thank you!

Even with Leopard’s widget maker, you still need to know javascript to make a more complicated widget.

I’d be interested in seeing that. Additionally, as I couldn’t find it (didn’t look very hard, though) I have a recommendation for your widget. Whenever I click ‘Next Fact’, if I have scrolled down to read it all, and the next fact is more than a screen full, the scroll bar remains where it is and I have to scroll back up to read it and then down again. I’m lazy
