Chuck Norris Widget Feature Request

I’m going to begin working on the next version of the Chuck Norris widget soon. Its going to obviously have lots of new facts (assuming that people give me new facts to put in) and it’ll give you the option of disabling the “Please Donate” notice. I’m out of ideas for other features, so right now thats it. If you have any other ideas tell me and I’ll try to add them.

As I mentioned earlier, I’m going to write a tutorial on making widgets. I’m going to try to make it really simple so that even a complete beginner to programming can understand it. The tutorial is going to be split into several parts. I’ll probably write the first part sometime next week, so stay tuned in. You can always subscribe to my rss feed if you don’t feel like checking for updates the old fashioned way. If you have no idea what rss is you might want to read this.

Chuck Norris Widget 3.0

The latest version of the Chuck Norris widget is now finished. You can download it here. This is what it looks like.

I’ve added a lot of the commonly requested features. Here are some of the new features:

Copy and paste. Just click on the picture of Chuck Norris and the widget will copy the fact to the clipboard.
Show facts in numerical order. If you don’t want to see the same facts again just flip over this widget and change this option. You’ll only see a fact for a second time after the widget has gone through every fact.
Next/Previous fact. You can click on the arrows at the top of the widget to go back or foward one fact.
Nicer design. I’ve changed a lot of small things to make it look nicer. For example, the widget is semi transparent at the bottom.
New facts. As in lots of new facts. There’s 1000 facts total.
Option to donate by paypal. Yes, you know you want to donate. Even $5 will be appreciated.

Please consider donating some money to help keep this website running.

If you have any comments, suggestions, or facts for the next version of the widget you can post them in the comments below.
